Prestashop: Go home, you're drunk
Probably the worst developer experience in terms of e-commerce solutions I had so far was with Prestashop. Maybe it works for people using nothing but the default theme and replacing their logo. But anything a little more complicated than that results in a mess in one way or another.
Frustrations, frustrations, frustrations..
Seriously, it’s all nice and dandy that a company releases an opensource version of their shopsystem. But something borked like that doesn’t help anyone. It doesn’t attract any serious developers anyways. I prefer to stick with Commerce instead, even tho the initial concept seems to be more complicated. But at least, things don’t break as easily as with Prestashop.
The best investement I’ve made so far was an XML exporter which I will hopefully be able to use to migrate this thing somewhere else ASAP.
End of rant. Good day, sir.
