actually productive meetings
do you know this feeling when you finish work and realize that today, you actually did more on this certain project than there was going on in the last 4 months? - well, today was one of those rare but very powerful and motivating days. i started rather late at 10am, went to the office where i met mister bachmann, our fellow 3D and film cutting freelancer. we spent working together on this projectdefinitions and budget stuff for about 5-6 hours, afterwards a meeting with the client and finally some decisions after 6 months of “uh, who knows what’s actually going on ya??”. this stuff makes my day and it was very cool working together with those.
if just every meeting could be as productive as this one, the world would be a better place. ;) i hate meetings where a) people think they know everything better, b) you talk about something not important for 90% of the time, c) someone is killing all ideas before they even leave the meeting-room.
well, sometimes it’s hard to accept any idea, especially if you already know in the beginning that it won’t work (sometimes i can be a fucking realist). but i like to discuss and if the points are there and made of steel, i might change my opinion. :)
