“as you may have noticed, there wasn’t much of activity here in the past weeks”. this was mostly due to not many interesting things happening, except for a few which i will write about now:

first, to take the last article into account, we didn’t won the scene-award. well, who cares. :) breakpoint 5, a demoparty in germany (in bingen, some small town somewhere .. don’t ask me about that, i’ve no idea where exactly it was), was rather cool this year. this was mostly due to the new location it took part. some ufo-like gym-hall. hehe. so after 4 days of boozing, which more or less ruined my health, the conclusion is: i’m not going to visit a demoparty again with a laptop in my backpack. a bottle-opener and some aspirin is enough. i met lots of people again, calodox.epfl was there and all the people i haven’t seen for a long time. props to you guys and gals, hopefully the next time we meet won’t take like a year or even 2.

before breakpoint i had quite a lot of trouble at work. like always, customers can’t come late enough with urgent wishes and projects. “oh we need that tomorrow” - “since when do you know that you need it?” - “oh well, like 2 weeks, but we know you are fast and we had to think about this first sentence for 1 week and then we forgot about it .. ”. yeah. right. and i’m the one who has to bleed for other people’s unability to schedule stuff right. of course i mix up my schedule myself from time to time, but that’s something different. come on. :)

and not to forget about my “date” with the profs of the school i’m planning to do. did a 2 hour train trip to talk a bit with them and showing my stuff. i actually don’t have an idea what their opinion is. on the other hand, after calculating the whole “experiment: studies!” thru for about 10 times, i noticed that it’s going to be a little bit difficult to finance my life AND the studies (which is actually quite expensive). i’m a bit unsure about that.

what else? .. oh yeah, i cleaned my bike last week. wooha! and yesterday was horse-filet time once again thanks to mister bsdunix who actually wanted to discuss some php-problem with me - but we kinda forgot about that. (tom: you’re still welcome to invite me to a meal so we can discuss it, hehe)

that’s it for now, folks. maybe the next update will not take as long as this one did. we’ll see.
